We have no idea how we could have survived without one another to help get us through one ordeal after another.

Begun only weeks before quarantining, lockdowns, masks and social distancing, we discovered, as we became weekly traveling companions on an adventure through the pandemic, aided by the wisdom of the entire collection of my unpublished Random House Trilogy, a pandemic survivors equivalent of a trip tik, an emotional and practical how-to manual, in fact, plus the author who wrote it, me, to help guide us through. 

Thus, we began a journey that may well last our life times, boosted by our twice weekly Pandemic Survivors Support Group.

Here's how it began.....

It was early February (2020) when, surfacing out of the depths of my generally overlooked, vintage steamer trunk, my “Random House Trilogy" rose up like an undersea nymph, beckoning hands holding out the precious details of my life's work that serendipitously contained within its pages a series of detailed detailed instructions on how to move beyond the very survival-oriented challenges we faced at that time and still continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

For more than two decades, thousands of pages laying out my earliest attempts to be a storyteller and the wide-ranging research and clinical treatment strategies of my twenty-five plus years work as a psychotherapist. 

Quietly, without my being consciously aware of their separating from me, they had settled themselves into the depths of that trunk, mostly out of sight out of mind (for others, not me personally). 

Now, almost magically, these pages had resurfaced, just a few short weeks before covid-19 brought our lives, as we had known them, to a screeching halt.

The pandemic had come, quarantining was upon us, crisis and chaos surrounded us on all sides.

But here, in the midst, came a collection of unpublished manuscripts with a definitive formula about how to SURVIVE well, under undue pressure and stress.

A step-by-step manual on surviving as a winner, mentally healthfully, even through life-threatening ordeals, such as the pandemic and the political corruption now tearing our country apart, as a winner -- 

Winning intended to mean being an individual of character, of high moral ethics, mental clarity, truthfulness, compassion and integrity, at the top of the list. A person who seeks opportunities, lessons and gifts to aid personal growth and development out of circumstances that might defeat others.

Not a Donald Trump or anyone like him!

Into the midst of this came “Anastasia’s Random House Trilogy,” buried twenty years and more, nearly out of sight, and NOW --  more than ready to fly free to points and places calling out for the wisdom contained within, high-powered, beautiful words I had written decades ago 

They were ready to soar, with heightened meaning, richly aged, maturing as they had been doing all these many years.

Now -- time for the teachings of these pages, primed to go full-front public, to come out of hiding, to do the good that was always their intent!

Not thirty years ago (1990) when book #1 Suriving Addictions: Transforming The Rebellious Inner Child was in progress. 

Not twenty-five years ago, when I wrote Journey Back To Me (1995), a treatise on my personal applications and transformation through these teachings of Marty Groder's and mine.

And, lastly, not even twenty-two years ago when my final round of editing for Exploring Your Dark Side: The Adventure Of A Lifetime, the namesake of this blog site, was aborted due to my losing my eyesight (1998).

No! None of these!

2020 forward in the midst of crises is to be their coming out, their destiny.

I don’t know yet how to tell you of the adventure the opening of this vintage trunk and the bringing out of its contents has brought to the Board Members of the New Horizons/Small “Zones of Peace” organization and myself through our new Mss Elite Study Group that has now evolved out of a most surprising study adventure.

I can, however, tell you that the exploration, now pledged by each one of us, to continue until death do us part, for me to interpret and guide the entire collection with my board members, has brought us to be deeply bonded traveling companions on a journey none of us anticipated at the onset. 

February 28 was the date these devoted board members of mine first came together to be instructed, briefly by me on the first five chapter (out of approximately forty-five chapters total) of my complete collection, a gift I had designed especially to emotionally fortify Board Member Terry who had lost her home and all its contents. In one of Northern California fires. 

With an aching heart I had watched her struggling, two years later, to recover her former stamina, mental health-wise and practically, from the Carr Fire (2018) that had brought such devastation to her life.  

The very first Mss Study Group lifted each of us, with exhilaration, though we hadn’t yet set our schedule for Mss Study Group #2. Before we got that far, however. came the pandemic and quarantining with life taking on new ways of doing and being. 

Simultaneously those of my board members who had opted to study these tomes with me, quickly realized that here in this Mss Study Group, in the midst of the pandemic, we had in our collective hands, written by my own, personally, a tried and true formula on how to survive well and even thrive through troubled times like these.

Audited attendance at a Mss Study Group, from here forward, will also be a prerequisite for our Pandemic Survivors Support Groups and our Truth Or Dare GAME.
